A new chapter is coming to Melbourne Central

Melbourne Central is getting ready for something big.

Construction is now underway on our $170 million Level 3 and 4 development, bringing more dining, entertainment, retail and reasons to discover something new to the heart of Melbourne.

Across 7,800sqm of new space, the development will introduce a new mix of experiences, including Melbourne’s first flagship Books Kinokuniya, a large-format entertainment destination, new dining spaces and more than 10 new food retailers.

And this is just the beginning.

Ahead of the permanent flagship opening in the first half of 2028, Books Kinokuniya will arrive at Melbourne Central with a temporary concept store on Level 2, giving our customers an early taste of what’s to come.

With construction now underway, a new part of Melbourne Central is taking shape, bringing more culture, creativity, food, entertainment and discovery to the heart of the city.
