Cultured AF: What to wear to the Melbourne Fringe Fest

The majority of Melbourne has spent the past three months hibernating under a blanket on their couch, accompanied by Uber Eats and Netflix... only emerging for the occasional shopping trip or very special friends’ birthday. But that’s all about to change, because spring is OFFICIALLY back in town! To celebrate, our great city has 2.5 whole weeks of art, circus, music, theatre, food and comedy to look forward to. Melbourne Fringe Fest is running from September 12-29, and we personally couldn’t be more excited.

This ‘multi artform festival’ transforms Melbourne into a heaving hub of culture, supporting over 3,000 artists to present 450+ works in 170+ venues to more than 360,000 people. It gives Melburnites a chance to celebrate freedom of artistic expression — and the end of winter.

Melbourne Central is right in the thick of it, so naturally we’ve got you covered when it comes to what to wear, do and eat.

If you’re heading to…

One of the many out-there events happening at Melbourne Fringe, you’ll need a creative look to match. We can’t go past a layered, print clash outfit from Gorman, complete with coloured accessories.
