Wicked winter finds

With winter well and truly here in Melbourne, it is probably time I begin to think about dressing accordingly… As a Summer-baby through and through, I always find winter the most difficult season to adjust to. I simply hate being cold, and although the temptation to spend nights in cuddled up under the doona with a hot cocoa does sound tempting, I can never quite shake my love of those warm summer nights. But alas, if there is only one thing that will get me semi-in-the-mood for winter, it is winter fashion. I absolutely love layering my clothes and adding heaps of accessories to my winter looks like scarves, berets, fedoras and multiple jackets.

This week I went in search of my perfect winter jacket at Melbourne Central. I couldn’t seem to resist the lighter colour palettes, and unlike any true Melbournian – I often veer away from black or really dark colours, so this little shopping expedition was really no exception. In my pursuit for my perfect winter jacket, I found Country Road, Decjuba and General Pants Co to have the best selection. I really gravitated towards anything fluffy, extra warm, slightly oversized and cream/beige in colour.

I ended up selecting this teddy jacket from General Pants Co and opted to pair the look back with a simple white tee, blue denim & a red beret (all available now at General Pants Co at Melbourne Central). I also couldn’t go past this faux fur leopard print jacket; the perfect piece to add a bit of extra lux to a look in winter (available now at General Pants Co at Melbourne Central). I really love both winter jackets and love the idea of pairing them with tights, a mini skirt, OTK boots and a turtleneck for a true Melbourne-winter look.

So what jacket styles will you be getting around this winter? I would love to know your selects too! Let me know below!
