PLAY ME, I’M YOURS & IN CENTRE BUSKING

As part of Melbourne Central’s ongoing initiative to discover and support emerging Melbourne talent across art, design, fashion and music, Play Me, I’m Yours calls to the musically gifted and often unheard talent of our city by providing a stage to showcase talent.

Started by British artist Luke Jerram, Play Me, I’m Yours is a global art piece with over 1,900 street pianos being installed in 60 cities around the world. Situated in locations such as parks, markets and train stations, the street pianos encourage people to harness their urban environment and connect with others who share their love of music and art.

Nestled in Melbourne Central, local artist Minna Gilligan has transformed an aged piano into a playground of colour and nostalgic romanticism. Minna primarily works with painting, drawing and collage, creating art that melds past and present through psychedelia and timeless imagery. A nod to the vibrancy and eclecticness of Melbourne Central, Minna has created a unique masterpiece for all to enjoy and share in creative expression.
